HORSE RIDING CULTURE AT A GLANCE - THE SPANISH RIDING SCHOOL IN VIENNA
The Spanish Riding School Vienna, the lived tradition and the values of the past merge with the passion of the present! The Spanish Riding School Vienna is the oldest horse riding school and the only institution in the world where classical equitation in the renaissance tradition of the "High School" has lived for more than 450 years and continues to be cultivated - which is also part of the immaterial UNESCO heritage of humanity.
The famous white stallions are trained at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. Here they enchant horse lovers from within Austria and abroad with their "white ballet". The "white horses" are bred in the western Styrian Lipizzaner Stud in Piber.
The Heldenberg in Lower Austria is the third location of the Spanish Riding School and serves as an international training center with exclusive seminars, in which the knowledge of the high school of classical equitation is taught. In addition, the Lipizzan stallions from Vienna spend six to three times a year here six weeks, so they can enjoy the variety of land with plenty of fresh air and exercise in nature.
